I can't believe Breaking Bad is over for the year. I feel like a meth addict going through the first stages of severe withdrawal.

Before the finale hoopla fades and everyone goes back to watching the Mannequins (Mad Men), I just want to post some long needed thank-yous to the nicest TV crew in the business. It matters not that it's the only set I've visited, but I cannot imagine a better experience occurring.

Other set memories are scattered throughout my livejournal:

***************************************
-Betsy Brandt

First and foremost, she's responsible for our visit. She came on her day off to make sure we felt welcome and introduced us to the crew and actors. She's the polar opposite of her character-funny, bubbly and energetic. Many crew members said she was fun to work with.

-Melissa Bernstein
She was constantly busy while on the set, but just a sweetheart to us all the same. She has indulged me this year by allowing me to keep in touch via email. She always answers, and never makes me feel like a pest. She even passed on some of the things I'd said and photos I'd sent to Vince Gilligan. She said he wanted to thank me for my support of the series (fan girl heart attack). She also sent me a T-shirt, and personal thank you note, which I plan to frame. Extra special thank you Ms B.

-Helen C.

Helen has the most important job on the set-script supervisor. When I told her that, she said "That kid from the LA times said the same thing when he visited (last year)." I felt like I was in quite important company for about 5 seconds, lol. Helen was so nice and told us stories of working with people like Gena Rowlands and John Cassavetes. She also made sure we got a crew shirt and for that, I thank her from the bottom of my heart

-John Nasraway I recognized John from some old XF photos I have. He was the one responsible for our extra parts. They had to shoot Dean's hospital scene earlier than expected, and were short on extras. Like a scene out of a movie he pointed to Leuco and I and said "Here are some extras."
Thank you John.

-Tom Schnauz- Can't say enough about how much I liked him. It's a complete coincidence that I tormented him over that Lone Gunmen puzzle 6 months before the visit.

-Dean Norris
If you listened to the podcast for 'One Minute', you get a taste of just how funny and partially unhinged Dean Norris is in person. "I've played cops. Lots and lots of cops!"

-Bryan Cranston
It's rare for me to say that someone just radiates good energy, but Bryan is one of those people. He caught me with a silly grin on my face while watching Dean Norris and Aaron Paul doing the "BIOTCH" RV scene. He didn't tease me, just smiled. He also made sure we got that photo in front of the crushed RV where I look short and all boobs next to him

-Aaron Paul
I have the least to say about Aaron, because he was busy most of my time on set. He is really handsome in person. I'll always remember him pulling out and showing us that RV key ignition that he scavenged as a memento.

-John Shiban
Very good looking man. I may have scared him a bit by saying he wrote a great script for my favorite XF character (Skinner-SR819). He allowed us to see that awesome teaser for 306 being shot and even asked us if we liked it. I was so blown away by how beautiful it was, that all I could do was nod my head like one of those bobbing puppy heads you used to see in the back of a cars. He also dished a bit.

-Stewart Lyons
I don't know how the whole power structure works on sets, but I got the impression he was one of the big dogs on the porch. We got into a discussion about his house being remodeled and I was just appalled by how expensive housing is in LA. He always asked if we were having a good time.

-Michelle MacLaren
For some stupid reason, I didn't know she was directing on BB. I recognized her right away from several behind the scenes photos I have of John Doe. John Doe was written by Vince and she directed it. It's also a forerunner to the look and feel of Breaking Bad. Watch it if you can. I complimented her on John Doe and she seemed genuinely happy that I'd seen it.

-Ladies of the Pink Steps.
The wardrobe ladies were so funny and just so nice. They let us get a close up look at those skull boots the Cousins wore. The entire wardrobe truck is color coordinated and character organized. I got to touch Walt's ugly brown bathrobe.

-other set crew
I'm appalled that I don't know names so I'll just thank them by their jobs
Lynn (Pa?),
The guy who said "Rolling, rolling, rolling." for each take. He did it in this sing-song way that I just loved.
-grips including the guy who was trying really hard to be another Jack Black.
-Sound guys. Darryl and the nice blond guy who showed us the equipment.
-The caterers. Who knew TV people ate so well? Made us omelettes to order in the morning
-The medic who saved my desert-chapped lips. That was the best chapstick I ever used.

Forgive me if I've forgotten anyone.
